This water based workout is suitable for everyone being as much fun as it is fitness. Aqua aerobics consists of both aerobic and toning exercises that will give you a full body workout allowing you to shape up quickly whilst using the water to support the body weight. Work at your own level as all exercises can be adapted to meet the needs of you as an individual. Use the water as your friend to support your joints or let it be your foe whilst it provides resistance for toning exercises; the choice is yours in Aqua aerobics.
Alexis Hicks
Alexis’ passion for sport and Fitness has evolved into a hugely enjoyable career within the fitness industry. Alexis began work as an apprentice in the world renowned Gold's Gym in Hanwell, west London, learning her craft and qualifying herself through fitness instructor training with the excellent U.K. based training company; the world amateur body building association (W.A.B.B.A.). Following this Alexis further gained qualifications to the level of personal trainer with the YMCA; a qualification renowned worldwide.
After working on the gym floor for a few years Alexis branched out when she went on to train as an Aqua aerobics instructor with Speedo. Since training in Aqua Aerobics Alexis has developed into sports nutrition, studio cycling, circuit training and sports conditioning and has taught at various clubs in Middlesex, North West London and now throughout Northamptonshire.
With a wealth of experience of different exercise types and registered as a level 3 fitness instructor through the Register of Exercise Professionals (R.E.P.S.) Alexis is a great instructor to take you through your poolside routine and more.
