Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

I have always been interested in health and fitness and became a gym instructor way back in 1980. I also qualified as a exercise to music instructor the same year with the YMCA in London. During the foillowing years my thrist for knowledge within health and fitness has seen me qualify in Freestyle Step (still my favourite class), Pilates, Body Balance, Body Step, Body Pump, Body Attack, Body Combat and even Body Jam. I spent several years as a group fitness manager for a large chain of health clubs and went on to become national group fitness trainer.

I believe that exercise should first and foremost be enjoyable! Yes sometimes you may feel exhausted, or out of breath, and sometimes just can't quite seem to find the energy even to stretch out. My job as instructor is to encourage and motivate you to keep you smiling and to ensure that all the hard work you are doing is safe, effective and beneficial. In 2009 I started my own business selling ladies fitness wear (www.maxfit4life.co.uk) as I truly believe that feeling good in your workout kit is essential. My 2 jobs really are my dream jobs. How lucky am I!
