  Fitness Inspired Yoga

Fitness Inspired Yoga is a fitness program that targets flexibility, core stability and strength using classical Yoga postures. Whilst it mimics Yoga in its breathing, focus and style, as the name suggests there is no spiritual aspect to this fitness based session offering postures that endorse strength and stability. There is no dogma, chanting or philosophy attached to this workout just a really fun and interesting way to improve balance, stability and overall tone in a calm, controlled environment.


Joanna Manning

After a number of years of being a regular participant at aerobics classes, Joanna qualified in exercise to music through the YMCA in 1991 at Loughborough University. Joanna began teaching a weekly class locally which soon progressed to a full time career in a fitness studio teaching a range of cardio and strength classes, with the instructor who originally inspired her. Joanna went on to qualify in Step and various body-conditioning based classes, as well as attending workshops to hone her teaching skills. More recently Joanna has added Freestyle Fitness Yoga to her repertoire.

As well as teaching safe and effective workouts, with an emphasis on technique, Joanna likes to inject a bit of fun and personality into classes.

Joanna's favourite part of her job is seeing class participants not only enjoying fitness, but seeing marked improvement in their abilities, technique and fitness levels. Joanna has many loyal class members, who have been attending for many years following her from various venues, including the original studio where her career in fitness began, which is a testament to her popularity and professionalism.
